Andhra Loyola College organised an internship programme ‘Inspire’ for intermediate students at the college seminar hall on Monday. The programme continues for five days till October 21, and is sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Gov of India.
Andhra Loyola College organised an internship programme ‘Inspire’ for intermediate students at the college seminar hall on Monday. The programme continues for five days till October 21, and is sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Gov of India.
Speaking on the occasion, the principal of Loyola College Rev Fr GAP Kishore said that the Inspire Internship Science Camp is residential programme for science students who wish to pursue their higher studies and research in the field of science.
The students were selected based on their score in class 10 and 150 students have been finalised for the programme. He further stated that the scientists from various science backgrounds would be taking various activities of teaching in the programme and guides the students. The programme is to enhance the interest towards science in the students who aspire to go for research activities.
The students from across the state took part in the internship programme and participated in the various activities. The students enjoyed the practical science sessions and the lectures of scientists. All the students that were registered in the event would get free accommodation and food the college department.
The programme coordinator Dr D Venkata Satish, Vice principal of Intermediate Rev Fr V Chinnappa, Vice principal of degree Fr S Melchoir and others took part in the event.
