Andhra Kesari remembered

The 144th birth anniversary of Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu was celebrated at the office of Water Resources Department in the city on Tuesday under the aegis of Water Users Associations (WUAs) of Krishna district.

Water Resources Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Water Users Associations Apex Committee member Alla Venkata Gopalakrishna Rao, Krishna Eastern Delta Project Committee Chairman Gutta Sivaramakrishna, Nagarjuna Sagar Left Canal Project Committee Chairman Y Pullaiah Chowdary and leaders of WUAs paid floral tributes to the portrait of Prakasam Pantulu.

They hailed the key role played by Prakasam Pantulu in the Indian freedom struggle and the valuable services rendered by him to the State as the first chief minister.
