India’s tour of Sri Lanka
The Indian cricket team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in July for a limited-overs series.
Schedule
India and Sri Lanka will lock horns in three ODIs (July 13, 16, and 18) and three T20Is (July 21, 23, and 25).
One venue
All the matches between India and Sri Lanka in July will be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Second-string India
BCCI has announced a second-string squad as the main team will be in England at that time.
Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan has been named the captain for the Sri Lanka tour in the absence of Virat Kohli, who is in England for the WTC final and Test series.
Maiden India call-ups
As many as four players - Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Nitish Rana, K Gowtham and Chetan Sakariya – have received their maiden India call-up, courtesy of their impressive performances across the last two IPL seasons.
Head coach
Former India cricketer Rahul Dravid has been confirmed as India’s head coach for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour. However, the BCCI is yet to announce the roster of the support staff.
