The DC vs RR game turned controversial in the final over when the on-field umpire did not refer to the third umpire over a possible no ball bowled by RR’s McCoy. DC needed 36 off 6 balls. Powell had struck 3 sixes and the incident took place on the third delivery.
Virat Kohli’s LBW vs MI
Batting 48 off 36 balls, Kohli was adjudged LBW by umpire Virender Sharma on the very first ball from Dewald Brevis. The third umpire couldn’t do anything as he felt that the ball hit the bat and pad simultaneously. There wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the decision. Kohli left the field in a rage.
Marcus Stoinis’ wide ball vs RCB
A ball bowled by RCB’s Josh Hazlewood appeared to be outside the tramline. However, the on-field umpire did not think so but LSG’s Stoinis let the matter go with a smile.
