Hardeep Singh Puri is also reported to have stated that international flights are likely to commence around August. The Union Minister for Civil Aviation strongly recommended AarogyaSetu app as an excellent contact tracing application. He added that there was nothing comparable to it.
Meanwhile, airports in major cities across the country are gearing up for the resumption of domestic flights from Monday. The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) authorities conducted a meeting of all scheduled airline operators to review their preparedness, risk assessment and mitigation measures, according to a DGCA circular.

Airport authorities have advised all passengers to take necessary precautions. As announced by the Union Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri earlier in the week, domestic flights will resume operations to major cities from Monday.
At the same time, Indian citizens stranded in various parts of the world have been appealing to the Centre to evacuate them. The government of India has been running Vande Bharat missions to evacuate citizens stranded in different parts of the world.
