In Delhi, Education Minister Atishi joined students from Government Sarvodaya Vidyalaya (Kautilya) Chirag Enclave to watch the live transmission of the Chandrayaan-3 lunar landing. The Education Minister spoke with children about Chandrayaan-3 and India's outstanding progress in space exploration at this event.
Atishi praised India's Chandrayaan-3 moon landing as an extraordinary milestone, showcasing the scientists' unwavering commitment to pushing scientific boundaries. She further said the achievement will inspire generations and ignite a passion for innovation and exploration within the youth. India's journey from Aryabhata to Chandrayaan-3 is remarkable and will serve as a wellspring of inspiration for future generations.
During the live broadcast, students were filled with joy and excitement as the Vikram lander and Rover of Chandrayaan-3 touched the moon's surface. Their exuberant cheers resonated through the school premises, encapsulating the collective pride of the nation.
While interacting with the students, Minister Atishi emphasized the importance of this accomplishment and its profound influence on India's scientific domain. She said, "Today our students have witnessed history being made. This achievement will ignite in them the aspiration to envision grand and inventive prospects for India's future. This particular event shows that investment in education and research always takes the country on the path of progress."
She stated that India's space program is just getting started and that it is expected to become a model for the rest of the world. She motivated the students by stating that they are currently witnessing the accomplishments of Indian scientists as students.If they too apdevoteply themselves to their studies, the day will come when they will contribute to India's great space initiatives as space scientists, and the entire country will look up to them.
Prior to Chandrayaan-3’s moon landing, Delhi government schools across the national capital were abuzz with various related activities. Students wrote encouraging notes to ISRO and formed human chains to send their best wishes to the team. Special arrangements were made at various Delhi government schools to allow for a live broadcast of the event, allowing pupils to witness this historic moment firsthand.
