Sixteen new positive cases have been reported from April 22, 5 pm to April 23, 12 noon, with this, the total number of cases reached 443 across the state.
According to the media bulletin released by the state health department, till date 443 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed. This includes 17 deaths and 141 people recovered for the virus and discharged from the hospital. The fresh list includes nine positive cases from Bengaluru Urban, two each from Vijayapura, Hubli and one each from Bantwala, and Malavalli.

On the other side, the state government has declared partial relaxation of the lockdown rules from April 23, allowing IT, ITES, construction, manufacturing, courier services, and others only outside the containment zones.
In this context, the government has issued precautionary measures which should be strictly followed at the workplace.
1. Use reusable/ cloth face mask
2. Ensure proper sanitization/cleaning of the workplace, particularly frequently used surfaces.
3. Cover your nose and mouth with handkerchief/tissue while sneezing or coughing.
4. Maintain personal hygiene and strict physical distancing.
5. Follow disinfection protocols in the building/room/premises as per guidelines.
6. Frequently wash your hands with soap and water/alcohol-based sanitizers.
7. Ensure adequate distance in seating arrangements in the sections/rooms.
8. Avoid gathering in canteens/common areas. Avoid gathering of 5 or more persons.
9. Discourage entry of visitors to the office premises. Only visitors with prior permission from the officer they wish to meet should be allowed after proper screening.
10. Meetings must be done through video conferencing.
11. Avoid sending physical files and document. Undertake essential correspondence on office email.
12. Facilitate deliver/receipt of dak right at the entry point of the office building to the extent possible.
13. Older employees, pregnant employees, and those with underlying medical conditions are advised to take extra precautions.
