Arvind Kejriwal Asks BJP Leaders Not To Insult People Of Delhi

Delhi chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal asked BJP leaders not to insult the people of Delhi. The AAP supremo took a dig at the BJP for packing its campaign in the national capital with a galaxy of leaders.

Taking to the popular microblogging site Twitter on Wednesday, the AAP chief addressed the 200 BJP MPs, 70 ministers and 11 chief ministers who have been lined up for campaigning in the run-up to the February 8 Delhi assembly polls.

Kejriwal remarked in his tweet that the people of Delhi had improved the state of affairs in the national capital with a lot of hard work. He urged the visiting BJP leaders not to belittle their achievements.

Kejriwal signed off saying that the BJP leaders were welcome and could do a sightseeing tour of Delhi. They could visit tourist attractions like Akshardham and Lotus Temple, he added.

The AAP chief has been keen on keeping the election campaign focused on development, while the BJP has been trying to highlight Shaheen Bagh, Sharjeel Imam's remarks, Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and other issues. The BJP has repeatedly accused AAP of backing anti-CAA protesters in Shaheen Bagh and elsewhere.

On its part, AAP has consistently stated that the election is about development and that the people of Delhi would vote for Kejriwal on the basis of his work.
