Government of India always takes initiative regarding the betterment of Citizens. This year also the government took an important decision along with the cabinet. Let us understand the important schemes started by the Indian government for the benefits and welfare of common people. These schemes are generally termed as Sarkari yojana and these are as below:

Let us understand the important schemes started by the Indian government for the benefits and welfare of common people. These schemes are generally termed as Sarkari yojana and these are as below:

1. One nation One Ration: This scheme is launched in July 2019 by order PM Narendra Modi. The main agenda of this scheme is to introduce the portability of ration card holders nationwide under the NFSA 2013 i.e. National Food Security Act. It guarantees all poor workers to buy subsidized food from any authorized ration. To avail its benefit, ration cardholder just needs to link their Aadhaar card with a ration card. Aadhar linking is not required to buy ration from their allocated ration center. Till now, India's 10 states already offering this facility and soon it will be covered nationwide.

2. Kisan Urja Suraksha: Prime Ministers Kisan Urja Suraksha and Utthaan Mahabhiyan also known as PM KUSUM scheme. This scheme is proposed in July 2019 and its target to set up 25,750 MW solar capacity by the year 2020. For this scheme, the total financial support by the central government is about 34,422 Crore. This scheme will result in extra income to our farmers. It includes the target of building a solar plant around 10,000MW on barren lands. Also solarization of existing connected grid to agriculture pumps.

3. Laghu Vyapari Maan-Dhan Yojna: Prime Minister Laghu Vyapari Maan-Dhan Yojna is shopkeepers, self-employed and retail traders oriented scheme. This is a pension plan that guarantees minimum Rupees 3000/- pension. This scheme is started from July 22nd, 2019 and eligible for 18 to 40 years. As per this scheme, all the shopkeepers and small retailers with GST and who have less than 1.5 Crore turnover will get per month Rs 3000/- after the age of 60.

4. Nal se Jal: Ministry of Jal Shakti launched a scheme termed as Nal se Jal yojana. It is launched in May 2019 by order Prime Minister. As we all know many households are out of reach from drinking water supply. Therefore, its main focus is to provide connections and pipe of drinking water to every household by or before 2024.

5. Jal Shakti Abhiyan: This scheme is started by the Indian government in July 2019 and this will be executed in two phases. Phase 1 will run from 1st of July 2019 to 15th of September and Phase 2 will be executed from 1st of October 2019 to 30th of November 2019. Jal Shakti abhiyan mainly focuses on 5 aspects and these are:

● Rain water harvesting

● Water conservation

● Water reuse and structure recharging

● Renovating traditional or other water bodies

● Intensive afforetation and watershed development

These are some of the schemes launched by the government to strengthen common people. Lots of efforts are taken by the Indian government to execute and achieve these schemes at the given time.
