Donald Trump to suspend H1B, L1 visas

Citizens from foreign countries were left in panic after the word of US President Donald Trump is expecting to suspend H1B, L1 and other temporary work visas surfaced. It is also expected that other visas such as H-2B and J-1 visas will be also suspended.

H-2B visas are meant for seasonal workers such as hotel and construction staff who come temporarily to the US and perform non-agricultural services. And the J-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa issued by the United States for research scholars, professors and other visitors to participate in programs like promoting cultural exchange especially to obtain medical or business training in the US.

The executive order is expected to include broad exceptions and it will not affect those already in the US. However, the order leaves an impact on the thousands of Indians who were scheduled to go the US this October if their petitions would have been approved.
