Kadapa: In a tragic incident, a farmer and his two cattle died of electric shock due to the wires in the farmland. This incident happened at Arakatavemula village in Rajupalem mandal of YSR Kadapa district on Sunday morning.

The deceased identified as Gurivi Reddy (62) has gone to the farmland situated on the highway near Pagadala in the early morning. While he was on the way along with his cattle, the rod tied to the bullock accidentally came into the contact with the electric wires above.

With this, Reddy along with his two cattle died on the spot. The villagers said that the value of the dead bulls is around Rs 3 lakh. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, registered a case and investigating further. Overhearing Gurivi Reddy's death news, the family members expressed deep shock. The deceased survived by wife, two sons and two daughters.
