Excise police seize black jaggery in Nagarkurnool

Nagarkurnool: Achampet Excise and Prohibition police have seized large cache of black jaggery and other chemical compounds, which are used to manufacture illicit liquor, on Thursday and arrested five persons involved in jaggery smuggling.

According to Excise department authorities, during regular vehicle inspection they stumbled upon a 10-tyre lorry with a huge consignment of black jaggery. They also stopped three cars and a cruiser that were following the lorry, which also transporting chemical compounds used in the manufacture of country liquor. The excise police said that they have registered a case and investigating further.
