59 students of Minorities school take illHyderabad: 59 students of the Telangana Minorities Residential School for Girls at Shah Alibanda in Old City fell sick on Thursday after having breakfast in the school. Immediately, the students were shifted to the Princess Esra Hospital, where the doctors administered emergency treatment and declared that the students were out of danger.
There was mild tension outside the hospital premises when people and media tried to enter the hospital to enquire about the health of the students. Police reached the hospital and got the situation under control and ensured that the doctors briefed everyone about the condition of the students.
GHMC Officials and Medical Department Officials visited the school and collected food samples. After examination, it was revealed that negligence in preparation of food led to food poisoning. Charminar MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan visited the hospital and enquired about the condition of the children and told doctors to provide all needful medical treatment. Till evening, the hospital discharged 15 to 20 children.
