Jhansi pitches for TG NRI Commission
Hanumakonda: TPCC vice president and Palakurti constituency in-charge Hanumandla Jhansi Rajender Reddy submitted a petition to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, seeking the establishment of a special Telangana NRI Commission for the protection of the rights of NRIs, resolving their problems and coordinating with the state government. Jhansi Rajender Reddy said that lakhs of Telangana residents are living in America, Gulf countries, Europe, Canada, Australia and other countries and are contributing to the development of the state through investments, technology, education, medicine, service programs and employment opportunities. However, it was stated that Telangana residents living abroad and their families are facing many problems like property disputes, land issues, legal assistance, emergencies, coordination with government departments.
In the petition, it was requested that a special NRI Commission be set up to provide a permanent solution to these problems. It was explained that the commission could provide services like a special system for resolving complaints of expatriate Telangana residents, assistance in protecting assets, legal guidance, coordination in emergencies, a single window system for investments, and government connectivity with Telangana NRIs around the world.
He said that the commission will act as a key platform to resolve the problems of NRIs quickly and make their investments, skills, and technology more useful to the state.
