Educationist Thalla Mallesham dies at 73
Warangal: Eminent educationist and founder-chairman of Thalla Padmavathi educational institutions, Thalla Mallesham, passed away while undergoing cancer treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday night. He was 73. He breathed his last at 11.15 pm. Mallesham began his educational journey in 1981 by establishing Learners Land school at Charbouli in Warangal with just 11 students. Over the years, he expanded his educational initiatives and established several institutions across the city.
He played a significant role in promoting engineering, pharmacy and technical education, benefiting thousands of students. He also encouraged creativity, research-based learning and exposure to global academic opportunities through international conferences and virtual programmes. His death was mourned by political leaders, teachers, students and people from various fields. His final rites will be held at Kashibugga crematorium on Sunday.
