Visakhapatnam: It’s a festive season for cricket enthusiasts as the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches are lined up in Visakhapatnam.
Delhi Capitals – Chennai Super Kings match is scheduled on March 31 and Delhi Capitals –Kolkata Knight Riders match to be held on April 3 in Visakhapatnam stadium. For cricket admirers, it is like a unique experience as they could see their favourite cricketers from different countries in action at one stop. Apart from international cricketers, Indian players also descend to the city. Many show interest in watching T-20 matches as they are also commonly known as ‘ dhana dhan’ matches where there is a large scope for scoring sixers and fours. It is because of this fast action, youth from across North Andhra mark their calendars to watch the matches live.
With YSR ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam becoming the venue for both the IPL matches, online tickets have been made available from Sunday.
The management of Delhi Capitals informed that tickets can buy online through Paytm, Paytm Insider and Delhi Capitals websites from March 24 for Delhi Capitals – Kolkata Knight Riders match. Tickets for Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings from March 27.
The tickets bought online should be redeemed at the counters specially set up at the stadium ‘B’ ground in PM Palem and Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium in the city from March 26.
The ticket prices to watch the matches are fixed at Rs 7,500, Rs 5,000, Rs 3,500, Rs 3,000, Rs 2,500, Rs 2,000, Rs 1,500, Rs 1,000.
