Special workshop on ‘vibe coding’

Visakhapatnam: With the objective of enhancing modern technological skills, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities among students, a one-day special workshop on vibe coding was conducted at Satya Institute of Technology and Management (SITAM) in Vizianagaram.

The workshop was conducted by Doli Harshith Tej, a Hyderabad-based Artificial Intelligence expert and master trainer, in collaboration with the institution’s Codexa Club. Encouraging students to transform ideas into practical digital solutions for real-time problems, he provided them with hands-on exposure to using Artificial Intelligence-powered tools.

Addressing the participants, Doli Harshith Tej mentioned that students should not limit themselves to learning technology but also develop the ability to apply it to solve real-world problems. He encouraged students to make effective use of the opportunities offered by AI and develop innovative ideas and practical solutions. During the workshop, students worked in teams to identify real-life problems faced by individuals and society, brainstorm possible solutions and develop their ideas. Moving beyond mere ideation, the students converted their concepts into working minimum viable products (MVP), gaining practical experience in the complete product-development journey. The workshop helped students strengthen their creativity, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, application of Artificial Intelligence and technical skills. It also gave them an opportunity to understand how an idea can be transformed into a practical technology-based product. It provided students with valuable hands-on experience in the journey from idea to innovation and from innovation to a working solution.

Emphasising that students should go beyond acquiring technical knowledge and apply it to create solutions that can contribute meaningfully to society, Majji Sashibhushana Rao, director of the institution, advised students to make the best use of such workshops to continuously enhance their skills in AI and emerging technologies. Later, he presented prizes to the top three teams that demonstrated outstanding performance during the workshop. Students, faculty members and management felicitated the resource person.
