New AP VROs Association office-bearers take oath in the presence of APRSA state president Bopparaju Venkateswarlu at AP Revenue Services Bhavan in Vijayawada on Friday
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Village Revenue Officers (AP VROs) Association has unanimously elected its new state executive committee for the 2026–29 term. The elections were held in a peaceful atmosphere at the Revenue Bhavan in Vijayawada on Friday, with a large number of VROs from various districts participating in the state council meeting. The association is affiliated with the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association (APRSA). The newly-elected office-bearers are Kona Anjaneya Kumar (Chanti) as state president, M Bapuji as general secretary, T Srinivasa Rao as associate president, G Anupama as vice-president, G Dilleswara Rao as publicity secretary and K Sahithi as organising secretary. Later, in the presence of APRSA state president Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, APRSA state general secretary and election officer Chebrolu Krishnamurthy administered the oath to the newly elected office-bearers.
APRSA state president Venkateswarlu said the large participation of VROs from all districts reflected their unity. He assured that the APRSA would extend full support to strengthen the VROs Association.
He said VROs played a crucial role at the village level in taking government and revenue services closer to the people. While striving for their rights and welfare, VROs should also discharge their duties with greater responsibility, transparency and commitment, he said.
Venkateswarlu said people expected government services to be delivered transparently and quickly and called upon VROs to work accordingly. At the same time, the government should provide VROs with adequate funds, time and basic facilities to enable them to deliver better services, he said. AP VROs Association president Anjaneya Kumar said the association would work for employees’ rights, welfare and resolution of their problems while also focusing on responsible discharge of duties and effective implementation of government programmes. He said VROs, being directly connected with the public, should provide revenue services in a transparent and timely
manner.
“Securing employees’ rights is our responsibility, while providing better services to people is our duty,” he said. APRSA NTR district president and assistant election officer Battina Ramakrishna and others attended the programme.
