Vijayawada: Kundeti Venkateswara Rao, a professional photographer from Putrela village in Vissannapeta mandal of NTR district, has received the prestigious Fellow, Image Colleague Society (FICS) honour in recognition of his contribution and services to the field of photography.
The honour was presented during the Photo Exhibition and Awards Presentation held at Vikas Bhavan on the campus of Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) here on October 1 and 2.
The programme was jointly organised by the Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Commission, Acharya Nagarjuna University and Photography Academy of India (PAI).
Former minister Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad attended the programme as the chief guest. ANU Rector Prof R Sivaram Prasad, ANU Registrar Prof G Simhachalam and Photography Grand Master Thamma Srinivasa Reddy were among those present.
Representatives of the Tiruvuru Photographers Association, including its president Krishna, secretary Swamy and Gopala Rao Koppula, congratulated Kundeti Venkateswara Rao on receiving the honour.
