CM Jagan to launch YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku-Bhoomi Rakshana scheme on Monday

Vijayawada: Arrangements are underway for the launch of 'YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku - Bhoomi Rakshana Pathakam' aimed at conducting survey of lands in the State by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at Takkellapadu village near Jaggaiahpet, Krishna district on Monday.

The survey will be conducted in 1.26 lakh sq km across the state in villages, towns, and cities, except forest lands. The survey will be held in three phases in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. About 5,000 villages will be covered in the first phase, 6,500 villages in the second phase, and 5,500 villages in the third phase. The district officials are making arrangements for the inauguration of the programme. Revenue Minister Dharmana Krishna Das along with District Collector Md Imtiaz and other officials inspected the venue at Takkellapadu village.

Addressing the media, Dharmana Krishna Das said a land survey was conducted 100 years ago in the State and now the programme will be taken up again. "The CM will flag off the survey teams from Takkellapadu village for the survey work to be launched simultaneously in all districts. This would resolve long-pending land disputes, "he said.

Over 10,000 people would attend the public meeting to be addressed by the Chief Minister at Gantela Sakuntalamma degree college in Jaggaiahpet.

The land records will be updated with the latest technology by the Government in association with the Survey of India. "The State government and the Survey of India will form 70 base stations for the mega survey. The state-of-art technology will be used with the latest drones and rovers. Nearly 14,000 surveyors were appointed for the state-wide survey. The land owners will get a title card with unique identification number, measurements of the property and other details. All details of the lands in the village would be on the maps. Survey stones would be installed once the marking of land was completed," he said.
