Elaborate arrangements are underway to conduct the SSC pubic examinations from March 18 to April 3 in the state. A total of 6,21,634 candidates are scheduled to appear for the examination in 2,839 examination centres. In all, 31,8524 boys and 3,03,110 girls will attend the examination to be held between 9.30 am to 12.15 pm.

A total of 6,21,634 candidates are scheduled to appear for the examination in 2,839 examination centres. In all, 31,8524 boys and 3,03,110 girls will attend the examination to be held between 9.30 am to 12.15 pm.

Addressing a media conference here on Friday, director of government examinations A Subba Reddy said arrangements were being made to ensure smooth conduct of examinations. He said the highest number of 68,428 students will appear from East Godavari district and lowest number of 30,205 students from Vizianagaram district.

The director said instructions were given to all educational institutions concerned to provide furniture, proper lighting and ventilation, fans, drinking water and clean toilets in the examination centres. He informed that Police Section 144 will be enforced near examination centres and heavy police bandobust will be arranged.

The APSRTC has agreed to provide free transportation to the students from home to examination centre and back and they can avail the facility by showing hall ticket, he added.

Subba Reddy said the APTransco was requested to provide uninterrupted power supply to examination centres during the exams and district level observers are appointed for each district to oversee the conduct of examinations.

He said hall tickets have been posted on the website www.bseaap.gov.in and headmasters of the schools concerned have to download them and issue the same to the students with proper attestation. He further said round-the-clock monitoring cell has been opened in the office of the Director of Government examination, AP, Gollapudi, Vijayawada, for the convenience of students and help line with number 0866-2974540 was opened at the centre.
