Tirupati: The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) observed Swachh Vayu Diwas 2026 with programs across Tirupati and Chittoor.
At Tirupati’s Regional Science Centre, District Transport Officer Muralimohan and Amara Raja Industries Vice-President Suresh Kumar attended as chief guests, planting saplings and urging public action to curb air pollution alongside students, industry representatives, and officials.
Meanwhile, in Chittoor town, a Green Rally was organized by Municipal Health Officer Anil Kumar Naik and APPCB Analyst Ganesh Kumar to raise awareness about air quality.
Officials emphasized collective responsibility to reduce industrial and vehicular emissions across the region.
