Tirupati: Covid-19 vaacination dry run began at SVIMS in Tirupati on Saturday. The dry run is being held simultaneously at Tirupati, Chittoor and Madanapalli.
SVIMS Director Dr B Vengamma was administered the dummy vaccine following all the registration process.
Joint Collector (Development) V Veerabrahmam, DM&HO Dr M Penchalaiah, DCHS Dr P Saralamma, Medical Superintendent Dr Ram and others were present to oversee the arrangements.
After vaccination process the Director as taken to the observation room where her blood pressure and other parameters were checked.
In the dry run 25 health workers who were alr ady registered in the Covin App will be administered the dummy vaccine.
The DM&HO said that actual vaccination process may commence by this month end in which about 32000 health workers will be vaccinated followed by one lakh frontline workers and around 7 lakh people above the age of 50. This three phase process may take six months for completion. Each day 100 people will be given vaccine by the vaccinators at each centre.
