14 days old baby saved at Aster Narayanadri hospitals
Tirupati: Doctors at Aster Narayanadri Hospitals successfully saved a 14-day-old newborn suffering from severe gastric outlet obstruction due to hypertrophic pyloric stenosis.
Admitted with acute dehydration and vomiting, the baby underwent emergency surgery performed by pediatric surgeon Dr Prasanna Venkatesh, with support from anaesthesiologist Dr Srikanth.
Post-surgery, the infant recovered in the Level III NICU under Dr Kiran Kumar, successfully resuming normal feeds. Hospital leadership—including Dr Sridhar Muni, Dr Sunand Kumar Reddy, Dr SV Prasad, and Dr (Major) Subhash—congratulated the multidisciplinary medical team for their coordinated and lifesaving intervention.
