Assailants kill woman, chops off her hand in Nizamabad

Unidentified assailants slit the throat of a woman by killing her and chopped off her hand. The brutal murder took place near the mortuary of district government general hospital on Sunday night. The woman was identified as Nune Sailaja (38).
Sailaja, a resident of Pamula Basti went out of her home around 11 pm on Sunday and did not return home. The police said that her husband was searching for her and later alerted them on the incident.
The police examined the CCTV footage and also verified her call history. Meanwhile, locals informed the police on Monday morning after they witnessed the dead body of the woman near hospital mortuary. The police shifted the body for autopsy and registered a case.
Efforts are on to nab the assailants who have gone absconding after the incident. The police are also inquiring her family to learn the causes that ensued to the murder.
