Nellore: A major relief to the people of Pottepalem and surrounding villages from a 50-year-old problem as the Bridge cum Causeway was inaugurated by Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, along with district Collector Himanshu Shukla at Pottepalem village of Nellore rural mandal on Friday.
People of these areas used to face problems to cross the road during rainy season due to lack of bridge. During 2024 electioneering, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy assured the people that he would redress this major problem if people vote for TDP in the elections.
After getting elected as MLA, Kotamreddy took steps for the construction of a bridge across Kaluju (water channel) at Pottepalem village at a cost of Rs 6.54 crore. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kotamreddy said the bridge would provide a permanent solution to a problem that had persisted for nearly 50 years. He assured that he would continue to fight for resolving the problems faced by people in Nellore Rural constituency.
The MLA thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, Ministers P Narayana and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and other leaders for extending support to achieve such mammoth task.
