Nalgonda: A 'Guruvandana' program to honor outstanding teachers was held in Nalgonda town under the aegis of the Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Sangham (TAPAS), presided over by District President Bathini Bhaskar Goud. Speaking on the occasion, Teacher MLC AVN Reddy suggested that the government should take steps to enhance the dignity of teachers in society and put an end to the practice of honoring teachers based on applications. He stated that quality education forms the foundation for a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) and emphasized the pivotal role teachers play in nation-building within the classroom.
Bhaskar Yogi, the keynote speaker, urged that students be made aware of the values found in the Ramayana and Mahabharata through short stories. Busireddy Panduranga Reddy, Chairman of the Busireddy Foundation, assured that the foundation would provide free coaching and study materials on a large scale to underprivileged students aspiring for high-level jobs and expressed his readiness to extend substantial support for the education of children from marginalized sections of society.
TAPAS State General Secretary Telkalapalli Pentaiah also spoke. Congratulations were extended to the teachers elected as district-level representatives. The event was attended by District General Secretary Renikuntla Rajashekhar; state-level office bearers Parvatham Sandhya Rani, Irugu Sriramulu, Katteboyina Srinivas, Komirelli Bhaskar Reddy, and Kanchanapalli Vijay Kumar; Mandal Educational Officers from various mandals; as well as district teachers, headmasters, and mandal-level presidents.
