When The Hans India visited Bardipur village, the hapless farmers shared their agony. They still have hopes that at least the 'Bhuvani' programme will clear their issues. Golla Narsimhulu, a farmer from Bardipur village, said it has been six years since he applied for mutation. A farmer with 0.21 kuntas land, he bought it six years ago. But he could not transfer the land in his name.
Another farmer of the same village, Srisailam, said he applied for the change of patta 15 months ago. Nothing was done and he had lost the benefit under 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme along with Kisan Yojana, loans and other subsidies.
Golla Vittamma said she had not got new passbook till now. She appealed to the rulers to do justice to her. Another woman farmer Golla Laxmi has the same story. She has tried hard to change the patta of land for eight months, but in vein.
The poor farmers are imploring officials and the government to resolve their issues immediately. They hope that at least the new programme would bring breather to them.
