Hyderabad: As part of the State Formation Decennial celebrations, the Bharat Jagruti Sahitya Sabhas would hold a two-day literature discussion in the name of Sahitya Vikasam in the State on June 12 and 13.

The Bharat Jagruti has also decided to give away the ‘Professor Jayashankar Literary Awakening Award’ every year. Bharat Jagruti secretary R Naveen Achari said that their organisation was working to preserve the cultural traditions of Telangana. An organisation that is active in the State movement in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Telangana.

These Sahitya Sabhas would have two days of in-depth discussions and paper submissions on all the processes of Telugu literature. The Telangana Sahitya Sabhas would begin on the morning of June 12 with an inaugural session titled ‘Literary Development in Swarashtra’. These meetings, which would be held in six sessions on a topic-wise basis, will have speeches by well-versed, studied and researched literary figures in various fields. Sahitya sabhas would conclude with a closing meeting on the evening of June 13.

As a part of these Sahitya Sabhas, Bharat Jagruti will present the ‘Professor Jayashankar Sahitya JagrutiPuraskaram’ to a literary figure who has contributed to the enrichment of Telugu literature.

President of the organization K Kavitha said that one person would be selected and given this award every year on the basis of extensive works, various processes, deep study and public interest.
