Transport owners stage protest over road tax
The members of Telangana Tours and Travels Owners Association took up a protest at Transport Commissioner's office at Khairatabad on Monday protesting against the imposition of border tax by AP government on contract carriage vehicles.

It also resolved to pressurize the Telangana government to cut down road tax levied within the state by half. They have planned to organise a protest on October 15 at Telangana Transport Department Commissioner's Office
"If our demands are not met, then we will approach Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. If all efforts fail, we will not pay road tax for the next quarter," said Association Honorary President G Bheeshma Chary and other members, including president Gopal Reddy, Narasimha Reddy, Telangana State Taxi and Drivers JAC Chairman Shaik Salauddin and others.
