Traffic restrictions for State Formation Day celebrations

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad city police issued a traffic restriction in view of Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Upper Tank Bund. The restrictions are likely to be imposed for 24 hours from June 1 and 2.

According to the police, traffic congestion areas to be avoided from 12 am on June 1 till 12 am June 2. Nallagutta T Jn traffic coming from Minister’s Road intending to go towards Necklace Rotary (through railway under pass) will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Ranigunj Junction. From Ranigunj intending to go towards Necklace Rotary (through railway under pass) will not be allowed and will be diverted towards Minister’s Road. Necklace Rotary traffic coming from VV Statue intending to go towards Telugu Talli will be diverted at Necklace Rotary towards Nallagutta. From Old PS Saifabad towards Iqbal Minar will not be allowed and diverted towards Ravindra Bharathi at Old PS Saifabad.

Telugu Thalli starting flyover traffic coming from Iqbal Minar towards Tank Bund will not be allowed and diverted at Telugu Thalli flyover towards steel bridge. From Iqbal Minar towards Tank Bund will not be allowed and diverted at Mint lane towards Necklace Rotary and Nallagutta.

Ambedkar statue Traffic coming from Liberty towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at Ambedkar statue towards Telugu Thalli. Liberty Junction Traffic coming from Basheerbagh towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at Liberty towards Himayathnagar.

Motorists coming from Himayathnagar towards Upper Tank bund will not be allowed and diverted at Liberty towards Basheerbagh. Steel Bridge starting point (Azamabad X Road) traffic coming from Azamabad X Road through Steel Bridge will not be allowed towards Kattamaisamma and diverted at Steel Bridge starting point (Azamabad X Road) towards VST.

Traffic coming from Bandamaisamma X road and Ashok Nagar x road will not be allowed towards Kattamaisamma and will be diverted at Indira Park X road towards Ashoknagar and AV College road. Kavadiguda X roads traffic coming from Kavadiguda towards Upper Tankbund will not be allowed and will be diverted at Kavadiguda X Roads towards Bible House/ DBR Mills.

DBR Mills Traffic coming from Kattamaisamma towards Upper Tankbund will not be allowed and diverted at DBR Mills towards Gosala. CGO Towers traffic coming from Musheerabad will not be allowed towards Kawadiguda X road and diverted at CGO Towers towards Ashok Nagar. Karbala Junction Traffic coming from Ranigunj towards Upper Tankbund will not be allowed and will be diverted at Karbala Junction towards Bible house. From Bible house towards Upper Tankbund will not be allowed and will be diverted at Karbala towards Ranigunj.

Kattamaisamma traffic coming from Telugu Thalli flyover towards DBR Mills will not be allowed and will be diverted at Kattamaisamma temple towards steel bridge/ Indira park jn.

The citizens are requested to avoid following junctions where traffic congestion is expected to be heavy at Katta Maisamma, Old Ambedkar Statue, Telugu Thalli Junction, Liberty, Iqbal Minar, Indira Gandhi Rotary, VV Statue, Karbala, Old PS Saifabad and Ravindra Bharathi.

As a part of Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Sunday, police issued traffic restrictions at Secunderabad area.

For Gunpark, Nampally the restrictions are placed from 9 am to 10 am. Police requested the motorists to avoid Ravindra Bharathi, and AR Petrol Pump junctions where traffic congestion is expected to be heavy.

At Parade Grounds in Secunderabad the restrictions will be placed from 6 am to 1 pm. Traffic congestion areas to be avoided including Punjagutta – Greenlands – Begumpet to Secunderabad Parade Grounds and surrounding roads of Parade Ground, also road between Tivoli X-roads to Plaza X-roads will be closed. Traffic congestion is expected at the junctions Chilakalguda, Alugaddabai, Sangeeth, YMCA, Patny, SBH, Plaza, CTO Junction, Brookbond, Tivoli, SweekarUpakar, Secunderabad Club, Trimulgherry, Tadbund and Centre Point, Diamond Point, Bowenpally, Rasoolpura, Begumpet and Paradise.

General passengers who are intending to travel are requested to start early to reach Railway station and Bus Stations in time and also advised to utilise the Metro Rail Service.

Parking of District buses / General public attending to function are requested to park their vehicles at Bison Polo ground. Separate parking arrangements are made for VIP Pass holders. Police requested citizens to make note of the diversions and take alternate routes to reach your destinations and cooperate with the Hyderabad traffic police.
