Art is something that is to be valued, it is more precious than anything else in the world says the artist and curator of the art show named 'Abstract April', Dollize. Making your passion as a career is something that she always wanted to do. Being marketing and a sales head for quite a long time and fulfilling her dream to be an artist was certainly something she always wanted to achieve. Starting her art works during her maternal break brought her close to art.
Speaking about the idea of her art work that is showcased at Nritya Forum she said, "I was a wine sommelier, I was the sale and marketing mange, so every time we sponsor events in Taj Falknuma, Taj Krishna, Marriot, etc.. I used to attend the event so at that pointy of time I thought that will starting painting and now that I am on a baby break for which I had to quit my job I get a little bit of time. When the baby sleeps this is what I do."
The art work titled 'Abstract' are the art works that she has done apart from the 12 artist who collaborated along with her to showcase their works at the group art show.
Sharing her story about how she had choose to be an artist she said, "I am a native of Adama and Nicobar Island and that is why my art works have a combination of greens and blues. I came to Hyderabad to complete my engineering and then worked with the IT companies for a while and then I worked in a wine company and then resigned as a regional head of all the wine stores in Goa. My mother never allowed I to get into the field of art and then I happen to complete my engineering and then I started painting."
Asking her about her challenges while working on her art work she said, "The only challenge that I have faced is to showcase my art works at the art galleries. They charge double the rate and so it is not feasible. I wish to gather more number of artist and showcase them in place like these."
The walls painted beautifully with the art works of Dollzie, Pratibha dal, Sangeeta Dhar, Rosy, Hari Kumar, Sapandana, Gautami, Balachary Bindu, Sreeja, Pratap, Pravin, Vivia, Vishwakarma is truly impressive and a place to visit.
Moving future the artist wants to continue her profession as an artist and collaborate with other small time artist.
Being a mother is no game when you are an artist, "My daughter has a major part of my art works, whenever I finish an art piece and leave it for it to dry my she tries to play with it for which I try and give a finishing touch (Laughs)."
Starting with painting wine bottle to painting it on the frames she says she has a long way to go and wants to give her best as an artist.
