In response to the call given by Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ), the journalists of Malkajgiri division staged a protest in front of Malkajgiri tahsil office for the resolution of their long-pending issues and submitted memorandum to MRO on Thursday.

Malkajgiri: In response to the call given by Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ), the journalists of Malkajgiri division staged a protest in front of Malkajgiri tahsil office for the resolution of their long-pending issues and submitted memorandum to MRO on Thursday. Leaders of the district and mandal journalist unions participated in the protest.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary of TUWJ Medchal district, Balaraju said that the programme was conducted in all the mandals of the State in response to the call given by TUWJ demanding resolution of their long pending issues. Expressing his anguish at the State government's indifference towards problems faced by journalists, he demanded that the CM KCR fulfil the promises he made to journalists in the past.

He demanded the State government to withdraw GO 239 and give accreditation cards, health cards, double bedroom houses and plots for construction of houses to journalists. An appeal was also made to take measures to provide medical treatment at corporate hospitals to journalists.
