Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation offers skill develop courses for minorities
The TSMFC (Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation), which has tied up with several government and reputed training institutions is offering about 45 job oriented vocational courses for minority unemployed youth.
Nampally: The TSMFC (Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation), which has tied up with several government and reputed training institutions is offering about 45 job oriented vocational courses for minority unemployed youth.
According to corporation chairman, Syed Akbar Hussain, it was first of its kind initiative by the Telangana government to help minority youth get trained in vocational courses of 3-4 months, so that they stand on their feet.
"Under training, employment & placement programme, unemployed minority youth are provided training in professional IT skills to help them get jobs in government and private sectors and also to setup self employment units," he explained.
Announcing this decision to media persons on Thursday, he said that keeping in mind the poverty amongst the community, this training programme would benefit the youth from across the State. He said that in this endeavour the district minority welfare officials would also be generating awareness amongst the community through mosques and other community centres.
"We are offering latest job oriented programmes from computer courses to beautician training. The government will be spending more than Rs 10,000 per month on each of the candidate. No other state has taken up similar programme in such a massive scale," he added.
The 3-4 month courses include paramedical assistant courses, early childhood education, beautician training, computer applications, hardware networking, tally, multilingual DTP in Urdu & Telugu, spoken English, fashion designing, tailoring & embroidery, mehendi designing, piping engineering & design, optical fiber technician, broadband technician, field technician, sales professional customer service executive (voice and non-voice) CRM + MS Office AutoCAD and Pro – E, AutoCAD and Pro – E (lean manufacturing technology), Goods & Services Tax (GST)/Accounts/Tally/MS-Office, CCTV, fire alarm, jute handicrafts,,web designing, geographic information system (GIS) basis & surveying (3 months), i diploma in multimedia (90 days), digital marketing (60 days) etc. For detailed information on all courses the interested candidates must contact the TSMFC office.
These courses, Akbar said will be available at 16 places across Telangana, with the help of NGOs and depending on the qualification the interested candidates may apply for the courses.
