Himayathnagar: The Telangana Praja Front (TPF) demanded scrapping of the Act which led to the registration of police cases against leaders of several people's organisations.

Ravichandar, the state president of TPF, told the media that TPF had been fighting for the last 10 years for achieving a 'democratic Telangana', after playing a crucial role in the separatist agitation, since the formation of the State. He objected to city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar banning 22 people's organisations on October 11 this year, describing it as 'illegal'.

He alleged that on November 12 in an 'illegal conspiracy case, writer Anuradha, Ravi Sarma and 'Visheshanam' editor Venugopal, Prof. Quasim, TPF state vice-president Nalamasa Krishna, Minchu Ramesh were implicated. The TPF leader demanded scrapping of 'illegal' cases against Krishna and others.
