Shankarananda Kalakshetra's, much acclaimed dance production "Tales from the Bull and the Tiger", returns to the stage.

The programme is dedicated to the memory of musician composer Sathiraju Venumadhav – a long time close associate and team member of Shankarananda Kalakshetra who attained the feet of the Almighty a few weeks ago.

Venumadhav, has been a very close associate of Shankarananda Kalakshetra for more than two decades, and embellished the many dance choreographies of Ananda Shankar Jayant and her choreographies, with his exquisite music and extraordinary musical compositions. Shankarananda Kalakshetra, dedicates this performance to the memory of Sathiraju Venumadhav

'Tales from the Bull and the Tiger' – An Ananda Shankar Jayant choreography, with musical soundscape by Sathiraju Venumadhav, Jathis by IV Renukaprasad, costume design by Ganesh Nallari, lights by Gyandev Singh, digital design by Gunjan Ashtaputre, Visual design by Pratima Sagar and performed by a vibrant ensemble cast of dancers, with brilliant Bangalore dancer Mithun Shyam as Guest artist, in the lead alongwith Ananda

This program is partially supported by State Bank of India and the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana. Ananda Shankar Jayant says, "Every Indian dancer, has him in her heart, seeks his blessings and will ascend stage only if he is alongside. We place him at the core of our being, seeking his benediction, in life and in dance.

His blessings have written the script of five decades of my life in dance and in four decades of Shankarananda Kalakshetra - through twenty-six-path breaking dance productions, dancing across five continents, and training a multitude of students. My years of yearning to encapsulate him in a dance production lead to the "Tales from the Bull and the Tiger''.
