All the Deputy Commissioners of 30 circles across the city have been designated as BC Voters Identification Officers by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday and were directed to commence the door-to-door survey for identification of BC voters.
Hyderabad: All the Deputy Commissioners of 30 circles across the city have been designated as BC Voters Identification Officers by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday and were directed to commence the door-to-door survey for identification of BC voters.
In a meeting chaired by Dana Kishore, Commissioner of GHMC, Deputy Commissioners have been directed to conduct of door to door survey for identification of BC voters in respect of 150 election wards of GHMC area by appointing the enumerators and supervisors with effect from June 22, 2019 to July 4, 2019.
All the voters of GHMC area are informed that the Government of Telangana vide Memo No.7149/GHMC.1/2019-1 dated June 19 informed that the term of the elected bodies of 53 Municipalities and 3 Municipal Corporations will expire on July 2, 2019.
It has been informed by the government that for reservation to the offices of the Mayors of all Municipal Corporations in the State has to be finalized by the government for which the details of BC votes of Municipal Corporations in the state including GHMC is required.
Hence the government issued the following schedule for identification of BC. For conducting the Door to Door verification for identification of BC voters the latest electoral rolls as published on February 22, 2019 with reference to January 1, 2019 as qualifying date along with its supplements generated up to March 25, 2019 will be adopted.
Draft Electoral Rolls marked with BC voters in respect of 150 election wards of GHMC area will be published on July 6, 2019. The claims and objections will be received from July 7, 2019 to July 11, 2019 in form-2 or Form-3 as the case may be.
The claims and objections will be disposed by conducting field verification during the period from July 15, 2019 and July 16, 2019. The Final Ward Wise Electoral Rolls marked with B.C. Voters will be published on July 18, 2019.
Therefore, all the electors of the GHMC area are requested to cooperate with the enumerators & Supervisors visiting your households for BC voter identification and furnish the correct details to them, said in press release, issued by the GHMC.
They are also requested to avail the opportunity to verify the ward wise draft electoral rolls marked with BC voters to be published on July 6, 2019 and to file their claims and objections, if any, so as to prepare clean and error free ward wise electoral rolls marked with BC voters, said in release.
