Special pujas held at Chilkur temple

Chilkur: Chief priest of Balaji temple Rangarajan, Chilkur, performed circumambulation with holy cows around the Lord wishing no inhuman incidents should happen in the state against girl children.

Speaking on the occasion, Rangarajan said the ceremony was like that of Bhumatha (Mother Earth) prayed Lord Vishnu to get rid of demons. He condemned the incident of a nine-year-old girl brutally raped and killed in Warangal. He worried about the increasing brutal incidents upon innocent children. The chief priest of the temple said they prayed the Lord to protect the innocent.
