Saplings distributed at Mahankali temple
Maktal Foundation organised a sapling distribution programme at Ujjain Mahankali temple on Wednesday on the occasion of World Environment Day. Ramgopalpet corporator Aruna Srinivas Goud distributed saplings to people.
Secunderabad: Maktal Foundation organised a sapling distribution programme at Ujjain Mahankali temple on Wednesday on the occasion of World Environment Day. Ramgopalpet corporator Aruna Srinivas Goud distributed saplings to people.
Speaking on the occasion, she urged people to plant trees to protect environment. Maktal Foundation founder Jalandar said that the government should enact a green law mandating plantation of two plants at every shop.
The law should mandate plantation of plants at every house, private and government offices, she said. Building of water harvesting pits should be made compulsory and NOC should be given only after it is built, he said. Among those who participated in the program include M Srinivas, S Venkata Mohan, Rajaji, K Srinivas Goud and others.
