Paradise: Overflowing drains and stagnant sewage water have become a huge problem for the commuters at Paradise circle, near SBI Bank. Commuters over here are very hesitant to travel on this stretch. The accumulation of water in front of the shops on the main road is causing inconvenience to the residents, especially to the traders, as customers are not able to come to the shops, says P Vijay, a commuter.
Vijay said that the stagnant water overflows on the main road have become unsafe for motorist plying on the road. The locals have informed the GHMC many times but all in vain, he said.
Keeping the issue in mind, the authorities concerned should reconstruct the inner manual chamber because of the poor construction of sewage chambers, which are leading to frequent blockages in the pipeline and, hence, causing overflow of water and troubles to pedestrians, the residents said. Many motorists also skid on this slippery stretch, they worry.
