District Collector Dr M V Reddy on Monday directed officials to prepare an action plan for focusing attention on prestigious schemes and pending development works as the model election code of conduct has come to an end.
Medchal: District Collector Dr M V Reddy on Monday directed officials to prepare an action plan for focusing attention on prestigious schemes and pending development works as the model election code of conduct has come to an end.
Addressing a district-level review meeting, Reddy directed the officials concerned to enforce the protocol following the election of new people's representatives, including MPs, MLAs, MLCs and ZP chairmen. He called for coordination between officials and public representatives in the successful implementation of 'KCR kit,' 'Badibata', 'Rythu Bandhu', 'Haritha Haram', 'Asara pension' and 'Kanti Velugu' schemes.
The District Collector, especially, directed the Municipal Commissioners to devote special attention to prevent illegal constructions/layouts and also to ensure that garbage was dumped in specified yards. He also drew their attention to the need to focus on roads and on sanitation. He wanted the officials to undertake ground-level tours for taking up development works.
Reddy directed members of the new Collectorate building committee to tour Shamirpet and inspect the works that were in progress. Joint Collector D Srinivas Reddy, district-level officials and municipal commissioners were also present at the meeting.
