PJTSAU, CESS sign MoU for Agricultural research
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Prof Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and Center for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) at Administrative building of University at Rajendranagar on Thursday.
Rajendranagar: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Prof Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and Center for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) at Administrative building of University at Rajendranagar on Thursday.
The MoU was signed by the PJTSAU Registrar, Dr S Sudheer Kumar and Director, CESS, Dr E Revathi in the presence of PJTSAU vice chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao and CESS chairman Prof Radhakrishna. According to officials, the man objective of this MoU is to have a bilateral cooperation between both the institutions in collaborative research programmes on agriculture and rural development activities. And also, to organise workshops, for the benefit of students, faculty and farmers.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Praveen Rao suggested that the director of research and dean PG studies of PJTSAU visit the CESS and chalk out programmes for mutual interests. This he hoped would help to have meaningful partnership between both the organisations.
CESS Director said that, this was a memorable day for them to have collaboration with the prestigious agricultural university and work together with common interests. She said that as part of the MoU, students and faculty exchange programme would be organised.
Later, PJTSAU also signed an MoU with Spoorthy Foundation, Karimnagar on the same day and at same venue. MoU Papers were signed by PJTSAU Registrar Dr S Sudheer Kumar and President of Spoorthy Foundation, K Jaganmohan Rao, in the presence of VC PJTSAU.
The main objective of this MoU was to enhance the production and productivity of various crops in the Spoorthy Foundation adopted villages in Karimnagar district. The university officers of the PJTSAU, officials from CESS were present on the occasion.
