The Panjagutta Police took the protesting unemployed members of the Paramedical Association into the preventive custody and shifted them to Goshamahal police station on Tuesday.

Begumpet: The Panjagutta Police took the protesting unemployed members of the Paramedical Association into the preventive custody and shifted them to Goshamahal police station on Tuesday.

The paramedical unemployed members under the leadership of K Narayana (31) along with 35 men and 13 women gathered at BB-1, Chief Minister's Camp Office in Begumpet without any permission and demanded to meet the Chief Minister without any appointment.

The Association demands include - to withdraw the order to give weightage to the in-service contract employees, to file counter affidavit in the High Court to finalise the case, to issue fresh list without being taken the cognizance of in service contract employees and to fill up 4,375 posts immediately.

As the situation turned sensitive at the Camp Office premises, the police took K Narayana, J Madhan Kumar, N Vidya Sapar, Y Swathi and 45 others into preventive custody and later, shifted them to Goshamahal Police Stadium and averted the tension in the area.
