Rajendranagar: The All India Majlis-e-Inquilab-e-Millat (AIMIM), led by senior advocates from the city, has formally got a nod from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the highest election agency of the country. With this, the new AIMIM (Inquilab) party came to live formally in the political realm of India.
By issuing a letter of recognition on Monday, the ECI has finally put a seal of endorsement on the party's existence in the mainstream politics. Party leaders received the letter and soon decided to call a meeting to discuss the future course of action and strategies to propel the party to make fast strides in Telangana.
Talking to The Hans India soon after receiving the registration letter from ECI, the party president Moulana Syed Taraq Quadri elaborated AIMIM (Inquilab) strategy of providing citizens a political platform and creating awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
Taraq Quadri informed that it has been decided to launch the party formally on September 28 at Press Club in Basheerbagh on a grand note by inviting people of all walks of life, including intellectuals, philanthropists, experts, advocates and journalists to the event. The same day a party membership drive will also be organised to facilitate the likeminded people to join its fold.
"We are looking forward to have more such meetings and gatherings before coming up with a suitable strategy to stir a new political debate. We are getting appreciation from all corners, and we are optimistic in gaining ground in the days to come," said Syed Hamed Hussain Shuttari, vice president of the party.
"Unlike other parties that prefer hero worshipping, our primary aim is to provide people and inspiring young minds a political platform from where they could attain their desire goals. We also focus on bringing political awareness among the masses, so to help them understand the real issues cornering them," said MA Qavi Abbasi, advocate and senior party leader.
"The idea to form a new political party was mooted only a few years ago to provide a serene environment wherein the issues and demands of every community get addressed and to drive the communities out of the clutches of illiteracy, poverty and organised crimes.
People in the state, especially in old city, have been angry with the political intrigues among the existing parties. Moreover, the burgeoning organised crimes in every sphere in the state also taking a toll on the people who are losing faith on the administration," said MA Qudus Ghori the general secretary of the party.
