My Auto is Safe drive in Cyberabad soon
Keeping in view the safety and security of passengers, who travel in auto-rickshaws, the Cyberabad police has envisaged a new campaign of registering auto-rickshaws under ‘My Auto is Safe’ theme from August 9.
Gachibowli: Keeping in view the safety and security of passengers, who travel in auto-rickshaws, the Cyberabad police has envisaged a new campaign of registering auto-rickshaws under 'My Auto is Safe' theme from August 9.
This is to ensure the safety of women, children and other citizens, who travel in auto-rickshaws in the city and to improve road safety by giving information of auto owners/drivers to the passengers as per law. There have been a large number of complaints of misbehavior, rash driving, over charging, dangerous driving, missing properties and so on by the citizens, who travel in auto-rickshaws.
The Cyberabad Police said the auto registration centers were set up at Police Outpost in front of Inorbit Mall, Kukatpally old Traffic PS in front of Metro, Rajendranagar Traffic PS near Aramghar crossroads, Alwal Traffic PS near St Ann's School, Petbasheerabad.
All the owners of auto rickshaws, who are desirous of operating their autos in the jurisdiction of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate should apply for registration with the driver and owner information in the given format specified for Auto registration of this notification along with valid documents like Registration certificate (RC) of the vehicle, driving license, identity proofs of driver and owner, address proof of the current owner.
Passengers can scan QR code, using QR code app, and the details that they receive can be shared with their people, which would enhance their safety. Also, if any passengers forget their belongings, they can easily complain at any police station with this information. They can also complain through at www.safeautotaxi.com or www.safegaadi.com. Passengers can also complain on 'Dial100'or via WhatsApp to reach the police for immediate response. This drive will keep drivers in check, and if any danger is feared, information can be forwarded to police and location of vehicle can be tracked easily.
