Koti: The Director of Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Dr Rakesh Mishra advised medical students to keep themselves updated about the revolutionary changes in medical field. He was speaking at a three-day national seminar 'Osmecon-2019' being organised jointly by Osmania Medical College and Neo Global education group here at Osmania Medical College.
Addressing the seminar, Dr Rakesh Mishra said that students need to develop necessary skills before completion of their MBBS course. The students need to keep updated with the pace of rapidly changing medical technologies, he said.
During the seminar, workshops would be held on various medical topics such as medical diagnosis, interaction with patients and measures to prevent increased attacks on doctors and noted medical experts spoke on the topics, the organizers said. About 1,850 medical students coming from across the nation are expected to participate in the program.
Speaking to media, MD of Neo Global, Divya Sunitha Raj thanked the management of Osmania Medical college for partnering in conducting the programme. The seminar would help medical students to update knowledge on specialty subjects, she said. Cash awards would be given to the participants who demonstrate their knowledge at the program, she said.
Various stalls displaying modern medical equipment were exhibited on the premises of the college during the seminar. Prominent among those who attended the programme include director of National Institute of Nutrition Dr Hemalatha, CEO of Neo Global CEO Raj and others.
