MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek) requested the Chairman, TSWB to interfere to protect the graveyard land in Bomraspet in Vikarabad, through a representation at his chambers in Haj House on Saturday.
Nampally : MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek) requested the Chairman, TSWB to interfere to protect the graveyard land in Bomraspet in Vikarabad, through a representation at his chambers in Haj House on Saturday.
Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT along with Muslim leaders of Bomraspet Mandal, Vikharabad District met Mohammed Saleem (Chairman) Telangana State Wakf Board and demanded protection of 5.0 Acres & 18 Guntas of Grave Yard land in Bomraspet.
In a representation Amjedullah Khan held that the graveyard land admeasuring 5 acres and 18 guntas in Bomraspet Mandal, Vikarabad district out of which 3 acres and 18 guntas were existing graveyard land and more 2 acres was bought on 2003, by Abdul Hameed and others from Petla Narshimlu (Tenant Pattedar) and dedicated the land to Wakf for purpose of graveyard. But after some time Rajeswari (1 acres), Mohammed Muneeruddin (484 sq yard), Banda Hanmappa (484 sq yard), Papaya (240 sq yard), Lalaiyah (240 sq yard) claimed the ownership of the said 2 acres of land.
He pointed out that during the year 2017 Rajeswari, Papaya and Lalaiyah withdrew their ownership claim but Mohammed Muneeruddin and Banda Hanmappa insisted themselves to be the owner and were trying to grab the land again but could not succeed due to the intervention of Mahbubnagar Police as area was previously under Mahbubnagar District. After reorganisation of districts in Telangana the area came under Vikarabad district, he explained in his representation.
Amjedullah said that the matter went before the Andhra Pradesh Wakf Tribunal vides O.S. no: 28 / 2008 which gave Judgement saying that the entire 5 acres 18 guntas is a graveyard land and directed the Wakf Board to protect the land from the land grabbers.
"However on September 26, 2019 Zameeruddin and Ameeruddin sons of Muneeruddin and Venkataramana Venkatnarsimlu sons of Banda Hanmappa along with nearly 50 anti-social elements entered the graveyard damaged its gate and mesh boundary, hurting religious sentiments and abused and also manhandled and threatened the committee members," he added.
The land grabbers also threatened the Committee members of dire consequences if the ever come to the graveyard land. As soon as the village Muslims came to know they approached the Bomraspet police station. The police intervened and stopped the work.
He requested the Chairman to kindly interfere in this matter and save the Muslims and protect the prestigious graveyard land. Mohammed Saleem assured that he will send Wakf's Task Force team to the site on Monday and take all necessary steps to protect the Grave Yard land.
