Hyderabad's Numaish sees 20 L visitors in 49 days

Over 20 lakh people visited Nampally Industrial exhibition in the last 49 days, said the exhibition society treasury officer Vinay Kumar. Vinay said that the exhibition witnessed heavy rush on the last day i.e, on February 18 and the traders sold the goods at a high discount.
Numaish which is supposed to end on February 15 was extended to three days on the request of the stall owners.
Last year, around 18 lakh people visited the exhibition that experienced a fire accident. Dozens of shops doused in the fire that also hit the revenue as well as footfall. Though the exhibition was extended a few more days after the fire mishap, the stall owners received a tepid response from the shoppers.
However, the visitor's count was high in 2018 when compared to this year. Nealy 23 lakh shoppers visited the exhibition.
According to the secretary, exhibition society, B Prabha Shankar, the business touched approximately Rs 40 crores this year and society will see a profit of Rs 10 to 20 crores.
