Hyderabad: We'll end cow slaughter, love jihad in State says Raja Singh
After a spectacular performance in the recent elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the BJP leaders seem to be on a song
Hyderabad: After a spectacular performance in the recent elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the BJP leaders seem to be on a song. Despite rumours of being upset with the party leadership prior to elections over seat distribution, BJP MLA and a strong leader in the old city of Hyderabad T Raja Singh seems to be confident of BJP sweeping the next Assembly elections.
Speaking to The Hans India in an exclusive interview, Goshamahal MLA said, "We expected the results in the GHMC polls, and it comes to us as a new hope as mission 2023 seems easy now. The trust shown by the people of Hyderabad in BJP has made us more confident and we look forward to do great things for the people."
About the allegations by the Opposition parties that the involvement of the Union Ministers was the only reason why the BJP could secure as many as 49 seats, Singh said, "Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a very simple answer to this earlier and I repeat the same thing. No election is small or big to us, we work for people and their welfare.
The Union Ministers were here as they felt the need to be a part of the election and closely connect with the people of Hyderabad. As per an intelligent report, the TRS is the most corrupt government. In the past six years, the TRS has done zero percent development.
This was noticed by the Centre and they felt that BJP can do better for the people of Hyderabad. The BJP has started its plan at a very large scale for the upcoming 2023 Lok Sabha elections. We assure there will only be saffron party all over India. There are leaders from TRS and the Congress who are willing to join BJP in near future."
According to the headstrong leader, their first and foremost priority is development. "The GHMC holds an annual budget of Rs 6,000 crore, which has been used by the CM and his son for their own benefits. That money is supposed to be used for the development of the city, roads, water connection, electricity, streetlights, buildings, community halls, gyms, playgrounds etc. Unfortunately, the entire budget is being used for the TRS promotional schemes and to keep up the vote bank. Today, our 48 corporators are ready to fight for the rights of people," he adds.
Singh says the first thing BJP will implement in Telangana is to stop cow slaughter. "Whoever will kill the cow or the calf, will be jailed for 10 years. All the slaughterhouses in Telangana in general and Hyderabad in particular, which were opened with the help of MIM under pressure by the TRS government will be burnt not closed.
The BJP has introduced a beautiful law to put an end to 'Love Jihad'. Implementing this law in Telangana will be our priority as there are a lot of people who are using Hindu sisters as a baby production machine," he says.
