Hyderabad: Stormwater drain is my first priority says ES Raj Jitender Nath
Corporator-elect of Macha Bolarum (133 division) ES Raj Jitender Nath (54) won for the third time in a close contest in the recent GHMC election with 12,089 votes on the TRS ticket against Sarvey Naresh (BJP) who received 12,055 votes
Corporator-elect of Macha Bolarum (133 division) ES Raj Jitender Nath (54) won for the third time in a close contest in the recent GHMC election with 12,089 votes on the TRS ticket against Sarvey Naresh (BJP) who received 12,055 votes.
His prime concern is going to be on constructing stormwater drains, as during recent floods, many colonies, especially slum areas like Kotha Basthi, Turkapally village, were inundated. In the future, there should be no such issues. In some areas of the ward construction of stormwater drains is in progress.
Highlighting the development activities of the last term, Jitender took credit for raising colony parks and construction of community halls. He said during the tenure, playgrounds were developed, maximum link roads were laid, Basti Dawakhana were launched and CC road laid at cost of Rs 1.5 crore at Sri Sai Nagar Colony.
He is planning to take up long-pending work of expanding the Macha Bolarum Market. "Already Rs 5 crore was sanctioned for its development, but some unidentified persons took the issue to court claiming ownership of the land. The case is in court. I am trying to resolve this issue as soon as possible," Jitender stated. He would also speed up long-pending RuB work at LC gate. "In the slum areas all open nalas are now covered with slabs and where there is no slab we are coming up with fencing."
Speaking about upcoming developments, Jitender pointed out that two reservoirs have been built at Maccha Bolarum and Kowkoor. "Only motors need to be installed and pipelines connected. Shortly it would start functioning.
"In the last term, I got immense support from the government for fulfilling development activities. With the support of MLA Mynampally Hanumantha Rao, almost all roads have been laid in new colonies. I am excepting the same support even this time," he said.
The Corporator-elect said many development activities were taking place in the ward. "There are many open lands, where layouts are coming up. Many colonies are coming up. I am receiving many representations for taking up development works. Almost 50 colonies have come up in the past two years. There is always a demand for building roads, drainage lines and fixing streetlights, for which I have been working," he signed off.
